2024-06-20 COMMUNIQUE | 1. During the warm-up, in the warm-up zone closed to traffic, Attila ANTAL (Merida Marathon Team-CST) with start number 127 collided with an escort car parked on the side of the road, as a result of which he suffered serious, life-threatening injuries. After being treated on the spot, the competitor was taken to the Gyula Kenézy Hospital in Debrecen by ambulance helicopter. Because of this, the race was suspended and restarted 2 hours later. | 2. The race of the Master2 age group was interrupted due to the accident, as the rescue helicopter could only land safely on the race track. The concerned competitors have agreed that the championship race will be re-start on existing competition (Brigetio Time Trial) and the championship positions will be decided. The list of validly entered and officially started Master2 age group competitors, 15 cyclist: (FIBECZ Zsolt Gábor, Barnabás MÁTIS, Péter SZEKERES, Tamás FODOR, András BENEDEK, Tamás KISS, Gábor SZÉL, Ernő JÓZSA, Balázs BULIN, Gábor TÓTH, Balázs Gergő MOLNÁR, PETRÓ Károly, Levente GÁSPÁR, Balázs BURGERMEISTER, SOMOGYI Gergely). According to the above, the championship title and championship positions of the 2024 Master2 Time Trial can be decided between them on Brigetio Time Trial. | 3. The competition court fined Barnabás PEÁK (Adria Mobil continental team) HUF 20,000 for using inappropriate equipment.
